Strategic Planning – Whether you’re talking about an entrepreneur, existing employer, investor, or prospective company considering your community, “quality of place” is becoming an increasingly important criterion for becoming a community of choice. Developing this aspect for achieving economic prosperity is no simple task. It often entails strategic changes requiring commitment, hard work, and ongoing community innovation. Sometimes a little help can make a big difference.
Organizational Development – If your community doesn’t yet have an economic development organization (EDO), CIS staff can assist in the creation of one. Through various means, including facilitating leadership meetings focused on forming a new EDO and examining best practices of EDOs in similar communities, the CIS team can help your community to develop its own successful EDO.
